The Development Group of FMT is responsible for the design, development and construction of various medical instruments and appliances for the patientcare, education and scientific medical research.
The Group has a well equipped electronic and machine shop.
At the Biomechanical Lab of the group scientific experiments regarding the mechanical behaviour of tissues, bone structures and cells can be studied.
Since 2008 FMT participates in Pontes Medical . Within Pontes Medical projects are started to commercialize new developed medical technological products originated from FMT and the VU University Medical Center.
