In 2000 Rinus Voorham started his Bachelor Life Science and Technology, a collaboration between the Leiden University and the Technical University of Delft. After acquiring his Bachelor degree he started the Master Functional Genomics, a program given at the same universities. In September 2006 he obtained his Master degree and shortly thereafter, in January 2007, he started his PhD at the Tumor Profiling Group of Prof. Gerrit Meijer, in the Department of Pathology, VU University Medical Center Amsterdam.
His PhD project is funded by the Dutch Cancer Society and aims to develop a biological screening test for a specific category of colorectal tumors, i.e. high risk flat lesions. Click here for more details.
