Diabetes Psychology

Welcome to Diabetes Psychology, the website of the Diabetes Psychology Research group of the VU University Medical Center Amsterdam.

The Diabetes Psychology Research group is a subsection of the Department of Medical Psychology of the VU University Medical Center, headed by professor  Frank J. Snoek. The research activities are embedded in the EMGO Institute for Health and Care Research www.emgo.nl . 
 "Our mission is to study the complex interaction between psychosocial factors and diabetes, t o develop effective behavioural  interventions, and  to  educate health care professionals  in the field of psychosocial diabetology , in order to improve health outcomes and the quality of life of persons with (or at risk for) diabetes ".
